More photos

Here are some more photos from this summer. The picture of the birds, barn swallows, in the nest were taken while their parents attacked me. Which sounds worse then it was. they wouldn't actually hit me. It was however at the drive thru for a bank. So i'm sure they've got a great video of me skinning my knees and shins.
The other pictures are all from my yard. Those birds tend to be nicer. Mostly cuz i feed the little buggers. There's a Downy Woodpecker, a baby cardinal and a mature male cardinal.
The baby cardinal has just recently figured out how to use the feeder. So he appears to be checking me out, trying to figure out if the huge thing in my hands is dangerous.

Some more pictures.

As you can see, this is mostly what i've been doing art wise this summer. at least i'm enjoying. In one of those images, the hummingbird is sticking her tongue out. Check it out!
All the hummingbirds were taken in my yard. Currently i have 3-6 flying around. Mostly they fight. But several of them will ignore me and let me photograph them.
These pictures all show females, as the male doesn't seem interested in having his picture taken.

Yet another! again from this summer... well, mostly.

Above are more purple martins. When i got out of the car to take pictures, they started to dive and swarm. Which didn't really bug me, makes for better pictures.

The top picture is, i believe, a pair of song sparrows.
and a Northern Flicker appears a ways down. Sadly, not a clear picture. But he was a long way off.

2nd Dump

just dropping in some old stuff. You are free to ignore as these come from freshman year and from high school.

Art dump

Here's a small dump of the photo's i've been taking this summer.

The deer above actually jumped out in front of me on one of my walks. She really freaked me out. Not enough to make me unable to take pictures however.

The little black/purple bird is a purple martin. They happen to be colony birds and love to eat bugs. They will return to the same colony year after year. No, he wasn't in my yard.
